Ankle Arthritis

The major types of arthritis that affect the foot and ankle are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and posttraumatic arthritis.

Ankle Fractures

A broken ankle is also known as an ankle "fracture." This means that one or more of the bones that make up the ankle joint are broken.

Bunions

A bunion is a painful bony bump that develops on the inside of the foot at the big toe joint. Bunions are often referred to as hallux valgus.

Diabetic Foot Care

Most foot problems that people with diabetes face arise from two serious complications of the disease: nerve damage and poor circulation.

Hammertoes

Hammertoes are a contracture of the toes as a result of a muscle imbalance between the tendons on the top and the tendons on the bottom of the toe.

Ingrown Toenail

The sides of the nail curl down and dig into your skin. An ingrown toenail may also happen if you wear shoes that are too tight or too short.
